The story of joy cafe & lounge begins with a moment in my adolescence. I once came across a quote that helped shape my life and the attitude with which I approaches each day. It read something along the lines of this: “Say a prayer, and pray to God to help you keep it, never if possible to lay down at night without being able to say that you made one person at least a little bit happier, a little wiser, or a little bit better that day.” With that uplifting thought in mind, joy cafe & lounge would be opened in the spring time, with everything from the cookie wrappers and chocolate boxes, to the walls and floor tiles all revealing optimistic quotes and phrases. The most important goal of the cafe would be to ensure each guest that by the time he or she leaves, they will feel at least a little bit happier than when they arrived.
